November’s Cup of the Month- The Frosty Cup! Friday, November 26th @ at 6pm. The first 25 people to sign up will compete in this fun, social event. Afterwards, players will retire to the CORC screw Pub for beverages and festivities. Winners will receive prizes and fun will had by all.

Come out and support your ORC’s Toronto and District teams. Watch as ORC’s finest squash players take to the court to do battle with players from other clubs. This year, we are fielding teams in five divisions: The Open B, C and D, as well as Women’s B and D. Matches are played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Why not grab a beverage from the CORCscrew and bring it down to the squash gallery and catch some of this muscle-burning, lung-bursting, mind-bending squash action! Our guys and gals would really appreciate some support on their home courts. If you are interested in playing for one of our teams, contact Ben.

Junior squash clinics are up and running and there are still some spaces available. Contact Ben Hatcher if your kids are interested. The kids are having a great time getting fit and developing their technique. Clinics are currently running on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, but there are also time slots available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, numbers permitting. Join now while there are still spaces.

ORC’s club wide box league and ranking computer system is up and running. I f you are interested in having your name added to the system, contact Ben in the squash office. The ladder is a great way to find people of equal ability and the box league enables you to schedule regular matches.

Club Renovations Update
Renovations are moving at a brisk pace now and it is only a short time before we seal the roof and enclose the outside walls and windows. A great deal of work is still yet to be done, however once we enclose everything we will be able to move even faster and catch up on lost time.

Men’s Locker Room:
At some point over the next four weeks, we will ask all men’s lockers holders to remove their belongings from their lockers in preparation for the expansion. All locker usage will then be on a “day locker use only” as we will be relocated into a smaller area while construction is going on in the existing locker room. All current locker holders will be credited for the time lost in their lockers. We will also ensure that there is at least a two week notice given to remove belongings, however for those that do not get in, we will bag and mark all contents and store them in our trailer for pick up.

Ladies Locker Room:
Ladies can expect to be moving back into the ladies area in approximately 6 weeks.

To all our members we appreciate your patience and understanding during the renovation. I can assure you it will be well worth the wait! Should anyone wish to view the new layout plans I would be happy to go over them with you.

*Please Note: These Monthly Bulletins will be e-mailed out at the beginning of every month, if you have anything you would like to have announced, or would like more information about something that you read, please contact Jenn Cook at jcook@ontarioracquetclub.com
